✨ Product Quality
What materials are your products made from?
We use premium Bella+Canvas apparel for all our t-shirts and hoodies—widely recognized as one of the finest blank apparel brands in the industry. Here's why we chose them:
Premium Quality Materials:
- T-Shirts: 100% Airlume combed and ring-spun cotton (Bella+Canvas 3001) or premium cotton/poly blends for heather colors
- Hoodies: Soft, durable cotton/poly fleece blends (50% cotton, 50% polyester, 8 oz) designed for comfort and longevity
- Retail-quality fabric that gets softer with every wash
- Pre-shrunk to maintain fit and shape
Why Bella+Canvas:
- Superior softness and comfort (you'll feel the difference immediately)
- Durability that lasts—these aren't cheap, thin shirts that fade or stretch
- Ethically manufactured in sustainable, eco-friendly facilities
- Trusted by premium brands worldwide
Custom Printed to Order:
Each piece is printed specifically for you using professional-grade direct-to-garment (DTG) printing. This ensures vibrant, long-lasting designs that won't crack, peel, or fade like cheap screen prints or vinyl. Your item is made fresh when you order it—never mass-produced months ago and sitting in a warehouse.
The Native Clothing Company Difference:
We could use cheaper materials to lower prices, but that wouldn't honor our culture or our customers. Our Kupuna (elders) taught us to do things right, not fast or cheap. When you wear Native Clothing Company, you're wearing the same quality apparel sold in premium boutiques—combined with authentic Hawaiian heritage and cultural significance you won't find anywhere else.
Are your products ethically made?
Yes. We partner with Printful, which uses ethically sourced blanks from brands like Bella+Canvas (Platinum WRAP certified, sweatshop-free, eco-friendly). All products are made to order to reduce waste.
How do I care for my Native Clothing items?
Washing:
• Machine wash cold, inside out
• Use mild detergent
• Do not bleach
Drying:
• Tumble dry low
• Hang dry for longest life
• Do not iron directly on design
Following these instructions will keep your apparel looking fresh for years.
Will the design fade or crack?
Our premium screen printing is built to last. If you follow care instructions (wash cold, dry low, inside out), designs will stay vibrant through hundreds of washes. Avoid harsh detergents and high heat for best results.

🌺 About Native Clothing Company
Where are you based?
Native Clothing Company was founded in Kailua, Oʻahu, Hawaiʻi. We're a Hawaiian heritage brand honoring the culture and values our Kupuna (elders) taught us. Read our full story here.
What does "living aloha" mean?
Aloha isn't just a greeting—it's the way of life our Kupuna (elders) lived and taught us to live. Living aloha means giving without expecting anything in return, respecting the ʻāina (land) and kai (ocean) that sustain us, helping before being asked, and doing what's right when no one is watching. It's the foundation of Hawaiian culture and everything we do.
Our ancestors understood that aloha is action, not words. It's bringing extra food to share without being asked. It's stopping to help someone in need. It's caring for the land that feeds us and teaching our children to do the same. It's honoring those who came before us and ensuring our culture thrives for those who come after. Aloha is lived, not spoken.
At Native Clothing Company, living aloha means treating every customer like ʻohana (family), creating with cultural integrity and respect, honoring the kuleana (responsibility) our ancestors gave us, and always choosing what's right over what's easy. This isn't a marketing slogan or business philosophy—it's how we were raised, how our Kupuna lived, and how we honor their memory every day.
Are you a Native Hawaiian-owned business?
Yes. Native Clothing Company is proudly owned by a local Hawaiian family with genealogy documented back to Kamehameha III. Our roots in these islands run deep—not just through bloodline, but through generations of cultural knowledge passed down by our Kupuna (elders). Our family has called these islands home for generations, and we were raised learning the true meaning of living aloha: giving without expectation, respecting our ʻāina (land) and kai (ocean), and honoring those who came before us.
We understand the responsibility that comes with sharing Hawaiian heritage—this isn't appropriation, it's our birthright and our kuleana (responsibility) to protect, preserve, and honor. Each design we create carries authentic Hawaiian values: respect for our ʻāina, love for our ʻohana (family), and the spirit of aloha that our ancestors lived by. We don't appropriate our culture; we celebrate it, honor it, and carry forward the sacred responsibility our ancestors gave us. We create with intention, respect, and deep cultural understanding.
Do you give back to the Hawaiian community?
Yes. We're committed to giving back (true to living aloha). We plan to partner with Hawaiian cultural organizations and donate a portion of proceeds to Hawaiian language preservation and cultural education. Details coming soon as we grow.
What's the Design Lab I keep hearing about?
The Design Lab is our upcoming feature where YOU can create custom designs and share YOUR heritage story. Whether it's your family reunion, your culture, or something personal—we want to help you tell it. Coming soon!
